At Daito Shoji, we are continuously engaged in the preventive maintenance of our vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure the safe and stable collection and transportation of industrial waste.
We recently implemented protection measures for the hydraulic hoses of our clam-shell trucks.
The hydraulic hoses on clam-shell trucks are exposed to sunlight and UV rays during outdoor use, and may also come into contact with waste or surrounding materials during operation. Therefore, preventing age-related deterioration and external damage is crucial for both safety and environmental reasons.
As part of these measures, we replaced hydraulic hoses showing signs of deterioration before installing protective covers, then applied protective covers to the hose sections.
Below is a comparison before and after the installation of hydraulic hose protective covers.

Before Measures ①: Hydraulic hose exposed

After Measures ①: Protective cover installed

Before Measures ②: Before protection of hose tip

After Measures ②: After protection of hose tip
This reduces the risk of deterioration from UV rays and contact, helping to prevent hydraulic oil leaks.
Furthermore, it doesn't end with just installing the covers; after installation, we visually inspect the condition of the hydraulic hoses by removing the covers once a month. By identifying cracks and signs of deterioration early, we strive to prevent problems and maintain a safe working environment.
At Daito Shoji, we are committed not only to proper waste disposal and resource recycling but also to improving the quality of our collection and transportation operations. We will continue to inspect and improve our vehicles and equipment to build a system that our customers can rely on.
