Turn plastic bottle caps into vaccines!
Collection activities are underway.

Recycling of plastic bottles is well known, but do you know what happens to the caps? If we do nothing, the caps will just be thrown away. In fact, they are a valuable resource and can be turned into vaccines that save children's lives.

Reusing resources is a part of the circular economy and is an SDG initiative.
Daito Shoji collects plastic bottle caps as a part of its responsibility as a recycling business and as a partner company of the Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World's Children, for the sake of the children who will lead the next generation.
For companies and organizations that want to get involved but don't know how to go about it, we are accepting collection consultations in the form of a collaboration.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact us (Contact: Araki).

7kg of caps (approximately 2,800 caps) will vaccinate one person!

*Calculated based on 2.5g per cap

You may be thinking, "That's a lot!?" But if we assume that there are 30 people who drink two bottles of beverages a day, it would take about 1.5 months to collect that amount.
However, there is no need to try to collect a lot at once. It is important for each of us to do what we can in our daily lives. Every little bit counts, and it will help reuse resources and become an opportunity to save small lives.
